In a surprising move for his fans, Akshay Kumar on Monday revealed a new look of his upcoming film ‘Bachchan Pandey’. The 52-year old actor took to social media to share a new poster of the movie that was actually attempting to announce a new release date for the film.
“Presenting – new look, new release date. Coming on 22nd January, 2021. In and as #BachchanPandey!,” Akshay wrote on Twitter.

The film’s release date was changed on request of Aamir Khan, whose ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ hits the theatre on the same day. Earlier scheduled to be released on Christmas this year, Bachchan Pandey will now hit the theatres on January 22, 2021.
The two friends mutually agreed to a conclusion to avoid a clash between their much-anticipated movies.
Laal Singh Chaddha, marks the return of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir after Talaash. The two have also collaborated in 3 Idiots. The film is the Bollywood remake of Hollywood hit Forrest Gump that starred Tom Hanks in the lead role. The Hindi remake directed by Advait Chandan.
Aamir also took to Twitter to express his gratitude for this kind gesture. “Sometimes all it takes is one conversation. Bachchan Panday had created a buzz right from its first look when fans drooled over his look wearing a lungi.
The film also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role and is loosely based on 2014 Tamil film Veeram featuring Ajith Kumar.
It will be directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
