Wonder Woman

Released on 2nd June

Featuring Gal Gadot and directed by Petty Jenkins (the first time a woman directed a superhero movie), Wonder Woman is the fourth movie in the DC Extended universe. Princess Diana leaves the Amazonians and accompanies a British spy to kill Ares and end the greatest war of all times. It is undoubtedly the best superhero origin movie ever made. It’s the perfect DC movie we had been waiting for. You should not miss watching this. It’s a real treat.

The movie crossed the $ 100 Million mark on its first day at the box office and was expected to cross over $ 200 Million by the weekend.

The Mummy

Released on 9th June

Directed by Alex Kurtzman and featuring Tom Cruise, The Mummy is a remake of the original movie series of the same name. When an ancient Egyptian queen whose throne was unjustly taken from her, wakes up in the present world, she wreaks havoc upon cities and plans to rule them all once again. This action-adventure-horror movie is bound to bring chills during the summers.

The Mummy is going to be the first movie in the Universal Monster Cinematic Universe with plans of movies such as The Wolfman, Van Helsing and Bride of Frankenstein in the making.

Megan Leavey

Released on 9 June

Megan Leavey is a biographical film, which is based on the true events of a female marine Corporal Megan Leavey who served as a Military Police K9 Handler with a dog called Rex. Starring Kate Mara as the dog handler, the story takes us through their two deployments in Iraq, at the end of which both of them get wounded by an IED. The story takes us through the struggle that Megan goes through in trying to adopt Rex after his sniffing abilities get ruined in the blast.

This will be one perfect movie for every dog lover.

Raabta

Released on 9 June

Raabta is a remake of Magadheera and stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Kirti Sanon in the lead roles. Shiv and Saira fall in love with each other, but Saira’s path crosses with a lover from a previous lifetime who is determined to make her again. This romantic-thriller story also stars Deepika Padukone and Rajkummar Rao in cameo roles.

A cross between medieval times and contemporary times, this story will be different from a general Bollywood movie and should be a fascinating watch.

Rough Night

Released on 16th June

Starring Scarlett Johansson, Zoë Kravitz, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell and Ilana Glazer, Rough Night is an American dark comedy movie. When five best friends reunite after 10 long years to celebrate the bachelorette party in Miami, things get wild and they accidentally kill a male stripper. The craziness begins as they go through a lot of planning and running to conceal the death.

This is an R-Rated comedy movie which is destined to bring some laughing spells.

Cars 3

Released on 16th June

Voiced by Owen Wilson, Lightning McQueen returns to the cinemas. After the legendary Lightning McQueen suffers from a terrible crash in a race, Many begin to question his retirement as he is set to compete against high-tech racers. He trains with a race technician to get a place in the Florida 500 race and prove that he is still the racing champion.

The Cars Movie series has been famous among the kids as well among the adults. Cars 3 will be an interesting watch.

All Eyez On Me

Released on 16th June

All Eyez On Me is an autobiographical movie on one of the most talented and controversial hip-hop superstar, Tupac Shakur. Titled after his hit fourth studio album, the movie documents the life of the hip-hop star – his rise to superstardom, his imprisonment on charges of sexual abuse, gang wars and his untimely death during a drive-by shooting in Vegas. Demetrius Shipp Jr. will be seen playing the role of Tupac.

Like Eminem’s ‘8 Mile’, this shall be a great film too.

Transformers: The Last Knight

Released on 21st June

Transformers: The Last Knight is the fifth movie of the Transformers film series. Directed by Michael Bay and featuring Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci, the movie is a sequel to Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014). A war has begun between humans and the transformers and Optimus Prime’s absence has only made things worse. Code Yeager with Bumblebee teams up with an English lord and a professor to discover the ancient secrets of Transformers.

The movie also talks about the legend of King Arthur and introduces new cars changing forms. It will also be the last Transformers movie directed by Michael Bay.

Baby Driver

Released on 28th June

Directed by Edgar Wright and featuring Ansel Elgort, Kevin Spacey, Lily James and Jamie Foxx in the lead roles, Baby Driver is the story of a young getaway driver named Baby, who is forced to work for a crime kingpin after he wants to leave his criminal life behind and start a new one with his girlfriend. Baby relies on music as it heightens his focus and reflex levels to an extraordinary level that helps him to become the perfect getaway driver.

Paired with foot-tapping music, some cool getaway car chases and planned robberies shall the thing to look out for in this movie.

Despicable Me 3

Released on 30th June

Gru, Minions, Girls and Lucy return in Despicable Me 3 with a new adventure to go on. Gru faces Balthazar Bratt, a child-star who turns into a villain and gets to meet his twin-brother Dru, who wants to team up with Gru for a diamond heist. We might also get to meet Margo, Edith and Agnes’ real mom in this film.

Above everyone and everything else, we will get to see the adorable and funny minions once again and that, in itself is more than enough of a reason to head to the theatres.
